The Port of Drammen, owned by the municipalities of Drammen, Lier, and Asker, stands as one of Norway’s most efficient and integral logistic and transportation hubs.

The Port of Drammen is centrally located in the southeastern part of Norway and has a customer base of two million people within a radius of ten miles. 

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information and assessments that can be linked to you as an individual. Typical personal data includes name, address, telephone number, email, and social security number. Certain identification numbers are also considered personal data according to the law, and examples of this are: IP address, customer number, cookie ID/online identifier (anonymized). Information about your behavior (usage patterns, actions) is also defined as personal data.

Why do we collect personal data?

The purpose of collecting and processing personal data via our website drammenhavn.no is to facilitate contact regarding the services we provide. We collect this information based on your contact with us via the contact details provided on our website, which are mainly email, phone, and forms for reporting arrivals.

In addition, we use traffic analysis and visitor patterns through various analysis tools on our website to understand how the site is used and thereby identify potential improvements.

Our web solution is provided by our partner BDO AS. Stored information about you as a user is stored on servers at BDO’s subcontractor, DigitalOcean. These are servers that are physically located in the EU/EEA.

Your information is stored only as long as required to perform our services/agreements, or as long as prescribed by law. Your personal data will be deleted if The Port of Drammen does not have a storage obligation under an agreement or law (e.g., accounting and bookkeeping obligations).

Anonymized information (which cannot be linked to you as an individual, and which is therefore no longer personal data) may be retained for statistical purposes.

Our partner BDO AS uses subcontractors for data storage and underlying technical solutions for handling digital communication and user authentication. This is information that can be obtained by contacting the solution managers at BDO AS at websupportdrammen@bdo.no.

BDO AS shall, according to the agreement (~data processor agreement) with us, process your personal data in the manner we determine. We require the data processor to ensure adequate information security, including that personal data cannot be transferred to others.

Who has access to personal data?

Employees (administration) at The Port of Drammen have access to the common email address for contact (post@drammenhavn.no). Other email addresses provided on our website go directly to various employees.

Our arrival form on the website is forwarded to 3 employees in the administration for follow-up.

In addition, technical system managers at our partner (BDO AS) have insight into the solution and will have access to personal data stored here.

We neither sell nor rent information provided by you to third parties.

How can you access your information?
